Natural development of the concert and theater agency Pragostarconcert s.r.o. Prague, prior to 1991 known as DBS International Consulting Services Inc. New York, went from presenting hundreds of recitals, chamber and orchestra concerts in many countries, to presenting large scale oratorios and drama performances, often in cooperation with ensembles from abroad, to finally organizing two large scale international opera festivals, Operafest Carlsbad 2007 and Giuseppe Verdi Opera Festival Olomouc 2008, which culminated in creating own touring opera company, Prague Touring Opera Company.

At present time our own productions, ready for touring assignments, are:
G.Verdi: Rigoletto, Un Ballo in Maschera and La Traviata and W.A.Mozart: Don Giovanni. For our own productions we are using our Operafest Carlsbad 2007 Festival Orchestra and the internationally acclaimed Prague Chamber Choir with the choir master Lubomir Matl. Only conductors, directors and soloists with international career are hired for our tourneys.

We cooperate closely with two opera companies of the internationally acclaimed Czech opera director Martin Otava, Prague Chamber Opera Company and Czech Opera Company Prague, whose repertoire includes: W.A.Mozart: Le Nozze di Figaro and Die Zauberflöte, G.Rossini: Il Barbiere di Siviglia, G.Bizet: Carmen, G.Puccini: Tosca and La Boheme and R.Wagner: Der Fliegende Holländer.

We are in process of negotiating a close cooperation with several Czech opera houses with year round operation, so that - if need be - we could utilize on tour also their artistic and other resources.

Naturally we perform all operas in the original language and for most of our repertoire we come on tour equipped with English subtitles, our own subtitle board and projector. Should we receive an order for touring a host country with an opera of a Czech composer, our set up allows us to add to our repertoire for this purpose one or even two new opera productions of the host selected works, composed by masters like B.Smetana, A.Dvorak, L.Janacek or B.Martinu, within four months after the confirmed tour order.

For our productions we are predominantly utilizing the artistic and other resources of Prague, doubtless the opera capital of the world. Or is there perhaps another city, where an opera lover can on a given evening choose between three opera tittles, played in three landmark theaters, of which one was built in the 18th and the other two in the 19th century?

WE ARE OFERING TO THE AUDIENCES ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD AT MODERATE PRICES THE BEST, WHAT IN THE ART OF OPERA CAN COME FROM PRAGUE. WE CAN DO IT, BECAUSE OPERA IS THE LOVE OF OUR LIVES.
